WASHINGTON – ITI, the global voice of the tech sector, welcomed President Trump’s cybersecurity executive order, which aims to strengthen the United States’ cybersecurity workforce. Among its provisions, the directive would create education and skills programs to train and strengthen the federal government’s cyber professionals and launch a national Call to Action to mobilize public- and private-sector resources to address cybersecurity workforce needs.

“Staying ahead of the evolving cyber threat requires a clear strategy implemented by a robust and skilled team of cyber experts,” said Jason Oxman, President and CEO of ITI. “President Trump’s executive order is an important step to bolster the cyber workforce of the United States government and the nation, which will better enable government and industry to help ensure U.S. networks are secure and resilient. We look forward to working with the administration to strengthen our ongoing public-private engagement to advance U.S. cybersecurity.”
